So far these two game-freezing bugs are only present on the PS4 version of the game as far as I am aware.
The only fix for this variant of the bug is to shut down the game and restart it, and hope that you saved your progress - because I forgot to do so and had to redo the entire Fontaine Fisheries area all over again, which is quite tedious. go to properties in the bioshock.exe and 'run as administrator' and 'run in 640 X 480 screen resolution', don't worry this will only effect your desktop resolution and not ingame. 'Game is going to bomb, people simply do not care for this. Judging by Steam comments, it's almost luck based. But as far as I know, some people ARE getting crashes still, and I think the remasters never got any major patch.
